UTAH worked his way up steadily on the outside in the early running and, slipping through next to the rail when entering the stretch, wore ARTHUR MIDDLETON down and outgamed him in the final drive. ARTHUR MIDDLETON set a fast early pace, but tired when challenged near the end. TRICKS was in close quarters on the backstretch and closed up gamely on tho outside when clear. RUNNAN showed early speed. WHO KNOWS was off forwardly and had no mishaps. The latter was prominent all the way and took the lead after entering the stretch, but tired finally. SOUTH BREEZE suffered from early interference and closed up fast when celar. FLIBBERTIGIBBET lacked early speed, but gained slightly in the final quarter. GLENN set the early pace, but quit badly. TITANIA was bmnped in the first quarter.
