PIMLICO SMASHES RECORD J t Daily Average Money Distribution;" Q Surpasses All Previous Marks, n V N Total of 73,63" Distributed During Eleven T Pays of Racing E. It- Bradley Leads ;J the List of "Winning Owners. n ii r The Maryland Jockey Club, during its K fall meeting at Pimlico, from October 31 to , November 11, smashed all previous records when it distributed among the horsemen a v daily average of 5,057 in stakes and purses. j That extraordinarily large daily distribution was due chiefly to the generosity of Mary-jB lands oldest racing organization in dividing ,g the Pimlico Futurity into two races andJ adding 0,000 to each contest, whereas it j was only under obligation to give one of i that sum. In all the immense sum of 75,- c 637 was distributed during the eleven days : of racing. "With so many tempting turftJ prizes to offer it was only natural that a ma- I jority of the best horses in the country par- j j ticipated in the racing, which was of the usual high standard always maintained at I the famous Pimlico course. I i Not often does a Western owner head the 3 list of winners at an Eastern meeting, but . such was the case at Pimlico when E. R, g Bradleys Idle Hour Stock Farm Stable fin- j-ished at the top with 5,274 to its credit. "W. S. Kilmer was second with 2,015, while the Greentree Stable, J. S. Cosden and the Quincy Stable also figured prominently. Blossom Time and Sallys Alley, the respective winners of the two divisions of the , Pimlico Futurity, top the list of the money- ! winning horses, with Captain Alcock next in i order. ! ! 1 Earl Sande carried off the riding honors l with ten victories to his credit. Alfred John- I j son jumped into the limelight of the public j favor by riding both Pimlico Futurity win- , ners. Marinellis good work in the saddle at this meeting was overshadowed by his wretched riding of Exterminator in the Pirn- ; lico Cup last Saturday. j I The following are the owners who won " 00 or more each: j Owner. 1st. 24. 3d.
