Newsy Turf Notes from Bowie Track j W. II. Karrick received word from his son Kenneth that the shipment of W. .11. Coos horses have arrived at Oriental Park, Havana, Cuba. Karrick will return to Helmont Park at the termination of the Howie meeting! with the Oncok Stable and W. It. Coes horses which have been raced at Plmlico and here. A special horse train has been arranged to depart from Howie road station Sunday for New Orleans. The special will include the horses of G. W. Foreman and W, J. Kramer. Richard Pending has arranged for the transfer of his stable of jumpers now at Penning to their winter quarters here at the close of the meetlmr. Trainer W. ICnapp will leave for his home j in Queens on Saturday, thence to New Orleans, where he will take over the horses that have already been shipped to that point. Thimble will not be included in the stable that Al. J. Alurphy will race during the winter. Thimble will be turned out here in charge of W. 11. Post, As a result of fulling in the third race, jockey Hell was forced to cancel his engagements for the day, while Atclme was sent to the hospital for an examination. After Hucado had won the second race for .1. H. Skinker he was claimed by Alax lllrsch for ,050. Jockey Small wood was suspended for the remainder of the meeting for having ere- aled a disturbance in the jockey room. H. R. .Uico was an arrival from Dade Park In quest of horses to campaign in Cuba. T. J. llcaley has retired W. .1. Salmons good mare Careful for the year. Placide. Frigerio and Robert Eddie were visitors and the guests of J. W. McClelland.
