ROMPING HOME, off forwardly, took the lead in the lirst eighth and, setting a good pace, re- , .-.ponded gamely when called on for a final effort. NOEL was a prominent contender all the way, finished j gamely and outstayed DAN E. OSCLLIVAN in the linal drive. The latter worked his way up on the inside while rounding the last turn and finished fast. PENNON raced well throughout. EL DORADO tired in the final eighth. FELSIDE closed a big gap in the first half mile while racing on the extreme outside, but tired after reaching a forward position at the eighth post. Won easily; second and third driv- ing. RUCADO, running to his true form today and well ridden, gradually improved his position while racing on the outside and, rushing into the lead in the stretch, won by a safe margin. LITTLE HOPE, off forwardly, met with repeated interference and moved up menacingly after entering the stretch, but was forced to pull np at the eighth post, then, when clear, closed up rapidly into a fast-going Kecond. ADVENTURESS finished gamely and outstayed HILLHOUSE. The latter set a good pace, but tired badly after going fire-eighths. FELICITOUS, poorly ridden, showed speed. Won driving; second and third the same. MAY BLOSSOM followed the leaders close up under slight restraint until well into the stretch, then closed up gamely and outfinished ETTAHE in the linal drive. ETTAHE raced forwardly from the start and came wide when entering the stretch and lost ground, but made a fast and game finish and would have won in another stride. CUM SAH rushed into the lead and set a fast pace in the early running, but tired in the stretch. CAHALAN ran well and had 110 mishaps. HIDDEN JEWEL, off slowly, closed a big gap in the first half, but was brought very wide when entering the stretch and not persevered with. MAWRCORON. REPARATION took the lead at once and, setting a good pace, to the stretch, made a game finish for second place. ROULEAU ran well and easily outstayed JOHN PAUL JONES through the final eighth. LITTLK AMMIE closed an immense gap from n slow beginning. FRANK MONROE suffered from interference. LA KROSS ran a good race. LUCY KATE had a clear course all the way.
