LATEST LEXINGTON GOSSIP LENINGTON Ky March 27 Messrs Payne and West have shipped their English marc Conduit by The White Knight to 151 lerslie Stud Charlottesville Va to be bred to A B Hancocks Wrack which this year was second to McGee on the list of American sires Al Dalman left yesterday for his home in New York he having arranged with Johnny Miller to bring the twoyearolds Fabian and Our Star to Fred Taral as soon as a car is available Miller said that he also will take in this car the stallion Top Hat and the twoyearold filly Pond Lily by Ultimus Dyke Top Hat is the property of John McE Bowman the famous New York hotel man and saddle and show horse fancier who has an establishment at Port Chester New York where Top Hat is to stand Pond Lily is the property of William B Miller and he is going East to be trained trainedW W S Threlkeld of Pleasureville was in town this morning and reported the foal ¬ ing of a chestnut filly by Cudgel from Blaze of Gold The mare will be bred to Boniface BonifaceT T J and George II Clay had some bad luck this week in the loss of a fine suckling colt by Black Toney Janina by The Scribe The colts death was due to a mysterious malady and the carcass was sent to the ex ¬ periment station at the University of Ken ¬ tucky for examination by Dr Demmick who had visited the colt during its illness and requested the carcass for study and deter ¬ mination if possible as to the cause of its death
