AMERICAN REMOUNT FOAL Gift of S. D. Riddle and A. B. Hancock in Mating of Man o War to Mare Star Puss. LEXINGTON. Ky., April 13.— Samuel D. Rieldle last year donated to the American Re-n.ount Association a season to Man o War. tut the association had no mare that was acceptable to Mr. Riddle for the union. So I A. B. Hancock placed at the disposal of this great military organization the mare Starj Iuss, by Jim Gaffney. from Star Jasmine, and the result of that mating is a brown filly which was foaled at Claiborne Stud this week. Mr. Hancock reports that three of his English mares have foals as follows : Brown filly, by Omar Khayyam — Martha Snow, by Sir Martin, she from Snow Marten, winner of the Oaks ; brown colt, by Jim Gaffney — Star Spangle, by Sunstar, and bay colt by Wrack — Fairy Ray, by Radium. The Marchioness dam of St. Quentin. by Sain, has a bay colt by Omar Khayyam. The English mare Whiz Bang, by Sunstar — Water Willow, which is owned by A. K. Macomber anel was sent to Claiborne to be bred to War Cloud, has a brown filly by Libertytown. The mares the property of Belair Stud at Claiborne have foals as follows : Brown colt by Jim Gaffney— Battle, by Hastings; bay filly by Sarmatian — Daphne dam of Cyclops, by Ballot; brown colt by Ambassador — La Deliverance, by Ajax. and bay colt by Jim Gaffney — Galetz, by Lem-berg. Admiral Cary T. Graysons Tuscan Red dam of Shamrock by William Rufus. has a chestnut colt by High Time and has Veen bred to Man o War. Samuel Ross Lady Isabel dam of Ballymooney has a bay filly by Jim Gaffney. Mrs. Louise Viaus Orowoc, by Hamburg, has a brown colt by Omar Khayyam and Silent Queen sister to the English stallion Braxted, also dam of King Thrush from Forfarshire, has a bay filly by Omar Khayyam. The latest foals at the Ellerslie Stud in Virginia are a colt by Wrack — Irish Wit dam of Frank Fogarty. by Celt, anel a bay filly by Wrack — Lady Godiva dam Edwina, bj Hanover. The latest foals at the establishment of J. O. and C. EL Keene on the Versailles Pike pre as follows: Bay colt by Libyan Sands — ■ Cotton Blossom, by Luke McLuke ; bay filly by Luke McLuke — Scrutiny, by Ballot ; brown colt by Pagan Pan — Kocm Khala, by Rock Sand ; bay filly by Maintenon — War Love, by Prince Palatine. « ,
