• NO REDUCTION IN DORVAL STAKES OR PURSES BALTIMORE. Md.. April 24.— Regardless of the fact that there was no tax relief the Dorval Jockey Club of Montreal has decided that all of the usual stakes will be given at its meeting, with no reduction in value, while there will be no cut in the overnight purses. This decision was reached at Baltimore conference between Joseph McLennan, A. Richard and Raymond Beandry. It is a decision that will be of great interest to the horsemen, for it was almost a foregone conclusion that almost all of the Canadian associations by reason of the excessive taxation would be forced to cut down the valuation of their prizes. •
