Latest Turf News From Havre F. Delatour and G. A. Coyle were recent arrivals. J. Kelly has sold the contract he held on jockey S. Banks to G. EL Campbell. Samuel Louis of Kansas City claimed St. Lawrence for ,200 out of the third race. W. I*. Oliver will ship his horses and those he has for L. A. Price to Jamaica Sunday. Floyd Reamer was a belated arrival from Hot Springs. Ark., en route to New York. A. S. Woodcliffe has turned out the sprinter Monastery at F. Devers farm for the summer months. F. U. Rradley. master of Tdlo Hour Farm. departed for Philadelphia yesterday, en route to Lexington, Ky. Uichard T. Wilson, president of the Saratoga Association, was a visitor from New Vork to see his horses race. Mrs. J. W. Dayton has purchased the plater Chateanajay from J. B. MoDanici and he will race under her colors tomorrow. Carey Winfrey has thrown out of training the platers Servitor, Leochares 11. and tir-rent Invents, which will be shipped to Hamilton and picked up at that point. II. C. Martin, secretary of the Fanama Jockey Club at Balboa Heights. Fanama. has written Jos. McLennan for suggestions to be used in arranging for the summer meeting of hki club. William Shields, trainer for Willis Sharps Kilmer, wee confined to his home through illness today and the horses of the Bins* ; Hampton sportsman were saddled by KJ Hodgson. George Brooke has engaged Harry King to train his string of horses and W. Keating, former trainer for the stable, has been engaged to ride for the A. C. Bostwick stable, trained by J. W. Healey. J. S. Hastings will ship to Fimlico from New York the stables of F. S. Von Stade and T. E. Mitten. In the latter collection there is a half brother to Exterminator. Eight Royal, by George Smith — Fair Empress. There were two claims from the last race Monday when Paul Ciceri, a Canadian owner, took the winner Joaquina from J. Bauer and VV. A. Ros«;n claimed Antilles from J. H. Stotler. Each was claimed for ,800. John I. Smith, recently engaged ee trainer for one division of the Willis Bharpe Kilmer stable, has returned from Kentucky where he took a string of the Kilmer horeee. He has made application for a Maryland license. Chester A. Applegate returned from Jamaica today and reported that the hoffttefl at that New York training ground are all doing exceedingly well in preparation for the opening of the New York racing season. Trainer W. Hurley will transfer the division of the Idle Hour Farm horses that he has here to Fimlico. The stable will be augmented during the Pimlieo meeting by the Preakness Stakes candidates, which will be decided on the latter part of this week. Edward Burke has announced that the money for the Old Dominion Handicap, to be run Saturday, will be ,500 instead of ,000. This addition was made in order that Willis Sharpe Kilmers ; hampion Exterminator may have an opportunity in the race to pass the record money winnings of Man o War. Hand bills of the dispersal of the horses of the estate of the late G. L. Blackford were distributed among the horsemen today. The sale is set for Friday at noon and hi conducted hy Charles F. Hill, with George Bain on the auction block. Those catalogued are Centimeter. Goldencrest. Admirer. Maxi-mac. Chief Carry, Glenlivet and the two-year-olds Jim Kinney, Princess Jane, Hermi-dale. Omega, Macl.ean and Ouida. By a ruling of the Havre de Grace stewards Med Henderson, the former steeplechase jockey, has been denied admission to the nice course for having entered the steeple-chaeo mare Tell lie in the second race today without authority. The mare was scratched when it was found that Henderson had no right to make the entry and. in addition to the punishment that was inflicted, his cuse was referred to the Maryland Racing Commission. It was expected that Exterminator would be raced in the Radio Handicap tomorrow, but that race failed to fill and he will have no chance to race until the Old Dominion Handicap arrives on Saturday. When it was found that another 00 added to the purse would give him his chance to be the greatest American moneey winner. Mr. Burke promptly said he would have his chance at -Havre de Grace. The manner of Extermina tors victory in the Philadelphia Handicap leaves no doubt of his ability to win the Old Dominion.
