ENTRIES FOR UNITED HUNTS Two -day Meeting Attracts Many Prominent Stables — Excellent Sport Seems in Prospect. NEW YORK. N. T.f April 24.— The New York racing season will be ushered in on Saturday next. April 2S, at Belmont Park, after nearly six months recess, with the spring meeting of the United Hunts Racing Association. This meeting promises to be the most successful in the history of the sport, judging from the entry list, which closed Monday with Secretary H. A. Buck. Five Hat races and one steeplechase are scheduled for the opening day. On the second day. Tuesday, May 1, three steeplechases, of which two are for hunters with gentlemen riders up. and three fiat races are carded. Jockey Club officials, including Mars Cassidy as starter and Cornehlsen as judge, will tend to keep the conduct of the sport up to the professional standard.
