A total of 1.001 races I* were run and 98,290, a daily average of , ,5SC, was distributed in stakes and purses, pj Da There were ten stake races, with the Coffroth ■ Handicap, worth 9,475 to the winner, as ,| the most valuable. ■ The outstanding incident in connection with the long meetng was the remarkable success achieved by the stable of C. B. Irwin, h the Wyoming horseman. Altogether his tl horses won 111 races, finished second in 74, was third 66 times and accounted for 3,310. Commander J. K. I* Ross has no reason -to regret sending a division of his stable to I! race at Tijuana, as they well repaid the ex- j pense of shipping them West by winning a ]j It total of 0,920. ■ Fi By virtue of capturing the rich Coffroth . Handicap Rebuke was the largest money- j, winning horse of the meeting. The real n hero was Abadane. with twelve victories to r his credit.
