OFFICIALS FOR RENO MEETING SAN FRANCISCO, Cal.. April 25.— Plans for the holding of the biggest meeting "tver" at Reno, beginning June P. to continue for twenty-five or thirty days, arc maturing fast. Promoter William I*. Kyne is in San Diego in conference with W. W. Finn, who has been appointed racing secretary for the meeting. The 400 horses promised by owners at Tijuana will be safely quartered in stalls at Reno before the end of the week, according to arrangements made by Kyne. The period of six weeks or so that will intervene from the close at the southern track to the opening at Reno, will give the trainers plenty of time in which to freshen their charges. All the old horses should feel like two-year-olds after a week or two in the high altitude of the Sierra Nevada mountains, with all kinds of rich feed available. The selection of Finn as racing secretary solved one of the chief problems confronting Kyne in organizing his force for the meeting, and now he is looking for a starter. He has been considering a number of men and it is probable will engage one in a week or two. Kyne may have to go East for a starter, I as he is determined to have none but the I best officials at the first race meetiruj he has ever promoted, and realizes the position of starter is of the utmost importance. m
