BEN BOLT passed STAMP in the first quarter and, racing into a long lead, was only cantering at the end. CHARLES HENRY began sluggishly and was fcrccd to work his way up on outside, but finished with a belated rush to displace GOLBEN FLOSS in the final strides. The latter saved ground on the stretch turn after closing a gap and finished resolutely. HULLO ran well. REP closed a big gap. STAMP quit. Won easily; second and third driving. BUEAKFAST BELL sprinted into a good lead qnickly and, setting a good pace, held the race safe to the end. WAUKULLA began slowly, but worked her way up through the field and, coming on the outside in the stretch, finished fast. MAY LOYD closed up steadily from a slow beginning and finished with a rush. CnEURYCOTE and PERRIGO ran well and finished close up. HOWDY ran well for the first half. MARKILUNA was in a jam Just before reaching the half-mile post and lost her rider. PLUS ULTRA moved up fast on the outside at the half-mile post and, finishing gamely, out-finished ESCARPOLETTE. The latter rushed into the lead quickly, showed the most speed to near the finish, but could not withstand the winners challenge. DERNIER SOU met slight interference on the stretch turn and came again when clear. QUEEN-HIGH tired. PUMPS finished fast. GOLDEN BILLOWS showed speed, but quit in the stretch drive. Won handily: second and third driving; COLORED BOY, after racing in close pursuit of the leaders, found an opening when entering the stretch and, rushing into a good lead, won by a safe margin. TRANTULA, , off slowly, was forced to race wide while rounding the last turn, but finished fastest of all. SPATS was a close-up contender all the way and made a game finish. LORD ALLEN set a fast pace, but tired in the stretch drive. BEN VALET was much used in the early racing and tired badly. TONY BEAU was away somewhat slowly and well back in the early running, came fast around thi last turn and swerved then to the inner rail in the stretch, but racea into the lead and won going away RANDEL was also outrun for the first half, but closed a gap and finished fast and gamely. BLUE STON1 was much used in racing REEL FOOT into defeat,, tired after taking this .lead, but finished gamely GEORGETTE raced wide on the first turn and tired in the stretch. JUPITER closed a gap. HOLD ME set a good pace and raced next to tlie inner rail and after giving way to the winner finished gamely for second place. ROCKY MOUNTAIN raced well and was on thf outside of the leaders throughout. SEA COURT ran poorly. KINBURN showed speed, but tired aftel going the first three-quarters.
