JAMAICAS FALL MEETING 18,545 Distributed During 13 Days of Racing August Belmont Leads Winning Owners. The Autumn meeting of the Metropolitan Jockey Club was held at Jamaica from October 2 to October 16, and during the thirteen days of racing a total of 78 races were run and 18,545, a daily average of ,118, was distributed in stakes and purse3. It has been a long time since the name or the chairman of the Jockey Club has appeared at the top of the list of winning owners, but such Is the good fortune of August Belmont for the Jamaica meeting. His horses won four races and ,491, while the Rancocas Stable earned ,655. and the Lilane Stable ,490. Little Chief, with ,850, and Sunsini, with ,690, were the largest winners among the horses. Training honors belong to S. C. Hildreth, who saddled six winners. L.. Fator, with eleven victories, and Earl Sande, with nine, were the most succesful of the jockeys participating in the meeting.
