Zev and My Own to Meet on Nov. 3 NEW YORK, N. T., Oct. 22. A meeting of Zev, conqueror of Papyrus in the International race, and Admiral Graysons crack. My Own, is assured for the La- tonia track on November 3, the closing day of the meeting, when the Latonia Championship Stakes is to have its decision. . Arrangements for the meeting of the pair were completed late Saturday night by general manager Matt J. Winn of the Kentucky Jockey Club when he secured the positive assurance from owner Harry F. Sinclair and trainer Sam Hildreth, in charge of Zev, that the colt would be sent to Latonia to start in the Latonia Championship Stakes. Previously Admiral Grayson had made it known to Mr. Winn that My Own "was at his disposal" for any arrangement he would make that would bring about a meeting of My Own and Zev. Mr. Winn, after clinching a meeting of the two colts, announced that he would add a sufficient amount of money to the race to insure it a value of 0,000. This, conditionally, that Zev and My Own start in the race. The announced meeting of the pair brings to a successful close the strenuous efforts of general manager Winn to give the racing public in Kentucky and the Middle West an attraction that will rival the Papyrus-Zev contest and will also decide the controversy of opinion that has been raging for some time relative to the respective merits of Zev and My Own. Originally the Latonia Championship Stakes was to have been decided on October 20, but, not to conflict with the international race between Papyrus and Zev, the date for its decision was set for November 3, the closing day of the Latonia meeting. After thinking his original offer over Mr. Winn during the afternoon added substantially to it, although the consent of both owners had been secured to start their horses. Mr. Winn announced that the winner of the Latonia Championship Stakes would receive 0,000 and a cup worth approximately ,000. He is also assured that other starters besides Zev and My Own will be In Me-moriam and Enchantment.
