I LATEST LATONIA GOSSIP I L. Pichon, a sixteen-year-old boy from New Orleans, who has been galloping horses for R. McGarvey, has been granted an apprentice license, and entered upon his riding career this afternoon when he piloted Orlova in the third race. The Queen City Handicap of one mile for two-year-olds, to be run at Latonia next Saturday will be started from the mile and one-sixteenth post This is made necessary because the field will be a large one and by changing the mile starting point to one and a sixteenth from the clubhouse turn will avoid in a large measure the possibility of a jam at that point.
