Won driving; second and third the same. FEHRAH improved, her position steadily, and wearing the leaders down .in .the stretch, Just got up in time to outgame FREDERICKTOWN. The latter began slowly and came on the outside in the stretch turn, but finished with a rush, and would have won in another stride. WRACKHORN closed up steadily, but could not reach the two leaders. RAGS tired after taking the lead. SNOW MAIDEN began slowly and finished with a rush. IDLE THOUGHTS set the pace to the stretch and tired. Won handily; second and third driving. BECK made the early running and was taken back when GOLD FOYLE raced to the front, then was saved within striking- distance of the leaders, and taking the lead again at the twelfth jump, was under mild riding at the end. DANDY was clrse up throughout and finished resolutely. PECCANT jumped well, but tired in the final drive. CREST HILL was always beaten. GOLD FOYLE raced in the lead, but sulked the last turn of the field. SIMPLE SIMON fell at the twelfth jump, and LE MARSOUIN lost his rider after taking the fourth. SAGAMORE, as usual, lacked early speed but closed a gap, and came fast through the stretch. SPEUDY GIRL raced close up and finished gamely. KNIGHT OF THE HEATHER drepped back, but came again under hard riding. POOR SPORT finished fast, FINALITY and FEODOR quit badly. The latter came with a j big burst of speed through the last, half, and was gaining on the winner witli every stride. SUI-3 PLIANT began well, but was in close quarters soon after the start, then he closed up with a rush 3 when clear, and was going fast at the end. COLONEL AVEST tired. SETTING SUN finished resolutely, but the winner held him safe. BANTER ran well and outgamcd GADFLY in the final drive. The Litter began slowly and could never get to the leaders. HEELTAPS tried to run cut on the first turn, then saved ground when the winner swung wide at the head of the stretch, but was tiring badly at the end. Overweights Banter, 4 pounds.
