KIRK DRESS, away slowly, worked her way up steadily on the outside and, coming fast through the stretch next to the inner rail, outgamed NORAH at the end. NORAH was a forward contender all the way and finished gamely. BELLE ISLE raced into the lead, but tired in the stretch drive. ZAMA closed a gap and finished fast. LADY ABBOTT quit. DARTAWAY fell on the turn out of the backstretch and FEHRAH fell over her. Scratched 75287 Damage, 107; 74845 Sun Silent, 107. INA KAY followed the leaders under restraint to the last quarter and, slipping through on thd inside, took the lead and won as her rider pleased. FEODOR rfiowed the most early speed, but rail out on all the turns and lost much ground. T. J. PENDERGAST, away fast, raced prominently, but tired in the final eighth. WOODTHRLSII ran fairly well. Wen easily; second and third driving. BUSY BOB, a forward contender from the start, took the lead after entering the stretch and outstayed THE SHEIK in the final drive. THE SHEIK, showing a good order of speed and saving ground on all the turns, responded gamely when called cn in the stretch and made a fast finish. SAN-DIEGO was hard ridden for the entire race and made a game rush on the stretch turn, but suffered from slight interference. KITTY JOHNSON set a good pace to the stretch, but retired after going a half mile. KEENAN lacked speed and could never improve his position. Scratched 754S0 Sea Sand, 122. BLACK BABY gained steadily and outfinished CAPTAIN BOB. The latter ran well and saved ground on the turns. MIRACLE MAN showed sudden improvement and, taking tlie lead, raced EVELYN SAWYER into defeat in the early racing, but could not withstand the winners challenge. MAY ROBERTS closed up resolutely in the last eighth. EVELYN SAWYER quit badly after going five-eighths. Scratched 754S0 Finality, 114.
