SANFORD HORSES THRIVING NEW YORK, N. Y., Jan. 30. Hollie Hughes, trainer for the Sanford Stud Farms, arrived in New York Monday and called at the Jockey Club offices. He reports that the horses at the Amsterdam, N. Y., farm are wintering well. The weather has been favorable, with no snow nor storms. Hughes will ship thirty-five horses from the farm to Aqueduct late in March to be prepared for the coming seasons racing. He has no rider under contract.
