LONG GREEN raced next to the inside rail all the way and was saved to the stretch turn, from where he moved up rapidly in the lead and drew far away in the last eighth. MONOPOLY ran well, but tired and just lasted long enougli to withstand the rush of CARPATHIAN. The latter closed a big gap and finished fast. The latter began slowly, but moved up with a rush after entering the stretch. RIPOSTA tired badly after leading to the last eighth. LITTLE POINTER ran a good half. ASA JEWELL set a good pace and was hard ridden all the way, but was tiring at the end and doing his best to withstand CHIMERAS rush. The latter finished fast on the inside.
