MAN 0 WARS FIRST 1924 FOAL LEXINGTON, Ky., Feb. 2. The first foal of the year at Major August Belmonts Nursery Stud is a bay filly by Man o War, from Moneta III., by Spearmint. This likewise is the first of the get of the Glen Riddle champion, to come this year. Moorland Melody II., by Thrush, from Mary Tavey, one of the mares that E. R. Bradley brought over from England late in 1922, has foaled a chestnut filly by North Star II., it being the first foal of the year at idle Hour Stock Farm.
