Won driving; second and third the same. ORMESBROOK, away fast and well ridden, shewed the most early speed and, after being headed, came again under good riding and outlinished SHASTA EXPRESS. The latter began slowly from the outside, then rushed up to forward contention at once and, taking the lead, would have won but for tiring in the final strides. SUPERVISOR raced on the outside, finished gamely and was going fastest of all at the end. JOE PATTON showed speed, but failed to stay. CAAMANO. away fast, was taken back on the backstrctclu and, when given free rein while turning for home, easily overhauled the leaders to win as his rider pleased. SEVEN SEAS raced into a clear lead after turning for home, but was no match for the winner when challenged. J. RUFUS finished gamely. CLARE FRANCES. PAVLOWA and PLANTAGENET tired. SETTEE closed up ground and finished witli a great rush. GOLDEN CUP also finished fast and close up. SPANISH ROSE was much used in trying to wrest the lead from OVER SHOT and tired finally.
