FAIR GROUNDS NOTES Fifty-three horses were excluded from four races on the cavl for Thursday and the sixth and seventh divided. Racing secretary McLennan will distribute the final program book for the meeting among horsemen Thursday. Jake Holtman is in receipt of word that J. W. Schorr, former Memphis turfman, will reach here next week for a short visit. R. A. Fairbairn, who has several horses in the stable of John McPherson, departed for Florida Wednesday morning after a brief visit here. J. D. Grant has nominated Foxmore, Frightful and Vitrolite to all of the juvenile stake fixtures to be decided on Kentucky tracks this year. Nominations for the New Orleans Handicap, 2,000 added, for three-year-olds, and the second to last stake to be run at the meeting, will close Saturday. Kay Spence, prior to departing for Hot Springs to recuperate, turned Frankmau over to A. L. Kirby to prepare for the Louisiana Derby at Jefferson Park.
