Won driving; secend and third the same. EMINENT raced close to the inner rail throughout and, passing POSTILLION on the last turn, raced into the lead and held CHEROKEE LEE safe in the final drive. The latter, beginning from the outside, was forced to race around the leaders on the first turn, and gaining rapidly after turning for home, finished fast and close up. POSTILLION showed the most early speed, but tired in the final sixteenth. GOLDFIELD showed a good order of speed, but tired. VOORGOLD, after forcing the early pace, quit badly. TIKEH set the pace from the start, and racing NAN McKINNEY into defeat, drew away in the final eighth to win casing up. DAINTY LADY made a fast finish and outstayed CHIPPENDALE. The latter ran well and finished gamely. LITTLE HOPE could not keep up the early running, but came fast when called cn. NAN McKINNEY showed speed in forcing the pace, but tired. MARSDALE, after having a rough race while rounding the first turn, moved up on the back-stretch, and forging to the front after turning for home, won under a gentle hand ride, BILLY WATTS made a fast finish and outgamed DORIUS. The latter showed much speed in taking the lead and raced in improved form. THE FALCONER ran well for three quarters. MONARDELLA was running fast at the end. Scratched 77536 Cof field, 107.
