BUNGA BUCK LOOKS GOOD 4 Galloping Impressively at Bowie After Long Winters Rest. Wellfinder Reing Pointed for the Inaugural Handicap Lunctta Fresh After a Long Let-up. - 4 BALTIMORE, Md., March 13. Veteran campaigners that wintered at Bowie and are training satisfactorily for the impending spring meeting of the Southern Maryland Agricultural Association, include Bunga Buck, Poe, Zouave, Pennon, AVellfinder, Lu-netta and Trajanus. Bunga Buck, son of Vulcain, and a longdistance handicap horse of quality, is a stable companion of the promising three-year-old Donaghee, in the string J. P. Smith is training. So is Poe. Bunga Buck is owned by Henry Dattner, and he is going as well as he did two years ago last fall when he was training for the ,000 Thanksgiving Handicap, which he won. This winter is Bunga Bucks first of rest since he was two years old. Smith hopes to have him ready for the ,000 Prince George Handicap, a dash of one mile and a sixteenth, for three-year-olds and over, that will be the getaway day feature of Bowies spring meeting. Poe, a light-footed sprinter by Huon, is in the Pastime Stable. Zouave, always formidable at Bowie when right, is Mike Hacketts ace. Pennon, a four-year-old sprinter by Pennant, belongs to Benjamin Harding of Washington, and is Rod Pattersons ,000 Inaugural hope. Wellfinder, son of Broomstick and Wonder, won six races last year for Robert I. Miller of Washington. He beat Oceanic in a race at Laurel Park last fall, and Comixa, Hildur and Blazes in another. Miller is a Washington lawyer, but he is doing his own training mornings, and he believes he will have Wellfinder up to a good performance for the Inaugural Handicap April 1, if the good weather of the last fortnight holds. Wellfinder is showing fine speed at five-eighths. He is good at seven-eighths and a mile. Lunctta and Trajanus belong to the stable of C. C. Smithson of Washington, which George Brenton is training. Lunetta. like Bunga Buck, has had her first winters rest in several years. She is full of flesh and full of pep.
