THORNDALE READY FOR LOUISIANA DERBY NEW ORLEANS, La., March 13. Thorn-dale, which will carry the Benjamin Block silks in the Louisiana Derby next Monday, was given a mile and an eighth workout over the Fair Grounds track Thursday morning. He accomplished his task in impressive style and was under a steadying restraint all the way, running the distance in 1 :56M, and cculu have gone considerably faster. The fractional time was: Quarter in 20, half in 50, three-quarters in 1 :1G, mile in 1 :429s. Thorndale is in fine condition and is expected to prove a formidable opponent for Black Gold.
