April 22— The Pimlico Oaks, to be run Thursday, May 8. has attracted sixty of the best three-year-old fillies in the country and the winner will undoubtedly be well fancied for the Preakness, scheduled for Monday. May 12. W. R. Coe will endeavor to repeat Clen- patras victory in 1920 with Elvina or Lady Belle, both daughters of Polymelian. whiD Hazy Dawn and Flirtation, well-bred fillies by Hurry On and Charles OMalley. two of Englands most fashionable sires, will rep- resent W. J. Salmon, who wen the Oaks in 921 with Careful. In the interests of Harry Payne Whitney, who won the Oaks last year with Gadfly, are Initiate and Miss Whisk, bv Whisk Broom jIL. and Margin, by All Cold, while W. S. Kilmer has three Sun Briar foaled misses to duplicate Dinahmeurs unexpected win in |l922. August Belmont is represented by Devjf; James Butler by Cave Woman. High Priest - ess and Delysia; J. S. Cosden by Yanke Princess, by Ballot; J. E. Davis by Relentless and Eagerness, both by Vulcain: Green-tree Stable by Tree Top and two others; Hal Price Headley by Say no; Idle Hour Stock Farm by Bobs Mary and Befuddle: the Ran-cocas Stable by Outline and Lady Diana, and George D.
