— w SIR GALLAHAD DEFEATS FRENCH STAR EPINARD PARIS, France, May 19. — Jefferson Davis i Cohna English thoroughbred, Sir Galahad. defeated the French champion, Epinard, in a match race lor 20,000 francs at Saint Cloud race track this afternoon. Sir Gallahad won by a neck. Epinard went to the post favorite. Thousands of turf followers came from ; London for the event and a vast sum of money changed hands.
