FAIR LATONIA DAILY TURF GOSSIP AT NOTED KENTUCKY TRACK LATONIA, Ky., June 4. Hal Trice Headley, who intends an active campaign at Latonia, has brought here his entire racing string of seventeen horses, including Chacolet, which arrived this afternoon from New York where she filled an engagement in the Suburban Handicap. .T. J. Terry" OMalley has been appointed business agent for the Audley Farm stable, in succession to Fred A. Gailer. Flyatit and George De Mar have been added to starter Snyders schooling list. Francis F. Dunne, who is here doing missionary work for the Hawthorne meeting, distributed the program books among the horsemen today. Trainer J. F. Schorr left Tuesday night for New York to saddle-E. B. McLeans Modest i the Belmont Stakes Saturday. Little Celt, which the International Stable Tecently acquired from Sandy McNaughton and which finished second in the Suburban Handicap, arrived at Latonia this morning, consigned to trainer George Walker. Walter Grater is a recent arrival with Mr. Kid, a three-year-old. and Fred Paula, two-year-olds colt by Mint — Marion Ross. Enemies of racing in Louisiana are again showing activity with the opening of the Louisiana legislature and a bill has been introduced prohibiting wagering of any form on racing. Friends of racing are confident that they will prevent its passage-Former jockey Roscoe Goose, who until recently assisted John S. Ward in the training of the Ward-Burton horses, intends gathering a small racing string to campaign this summer. He has in view purchasing some likely racing timber shortly. The members of the Thoroughbred Horse Association will hold a meeting next Friday at 8 p. m. in one of the parlors of the Sin-ton Hotel. Trainer Kay Spence, who sought to add Glide and Special to the Audley Farm Stable, has stopped negotiations with Harned Brothers and Jones, deeming the 0,000 asked tor the horses too high.
