PASSPORT showed high speed in pacemaking from the start and raced FELICITOUS into defeat, but tired in the- final sixteenth. MUSKALLONC I moved up rapidly while rounding the stretch turn on the caitside. bi:t tired right at the end. MONTALVO closed a big gap. MAWRCORON raced well to the stretch. FELICITOUS ran well to the last eighth and tired badly. FIRST PICK ran well. REPRISAL was shuffled back at the start and could never get rp. Won driving; second and third the same. VOX POIULI II. soon raced into a long lead and outjumped the others, but made a bad lauding at the final jump and only cutgamed PARIAYS in a hard final drive. The latter was confidently ridden for the first turn of the field and moved up rapidly when going to the tenth jiunn. but came wide in the stretch and tired after getting to the leader when he stumbled. MARK TWAIN raced well for the first turn of the field and finished resolutely, but was third because the rider cm MECURIU8 eased him up. His rider claimed a foul which was not allowed. DELiYSiA set a fast early pace, but tired from racing FLAX into defeat. The latter quit after racing into the lead.
