j I | ! ; | | -6 BLUE BONNETS OPENS TODAY 1 Prospects Bright for Successful Meeting at Montreal Track. 1 Kindergarten Stakes and Jockey Clnb Handicap Principal Attraction of Fine Inaugural Program. . « MONTREAL, Que., June 4.— Beautiful Blue Bonnets will be the scene of racing under the jurisdiction of the Canadian Racing Associations beginning tomorrow and continu-j ing for seven days. Everything is spic and span at the home of the Montreal Jockey Club and a most successful meeting is looked for. The track is in fine condition and as to-j- days forecasts are for a continuance of summerlike weather, the course should be lightning fast for tomorrows racing. The inaugural program comprises seven races, with the Kindergarten Stakes, ,500 added, of chief monetary importance. However, the Jockey Club Handicap should share in interest with the stake feature. The latter is a race at one mile for three-year-olds and upward and nine are named overnight to measure strides in it With such as New Hampshire, Opperman, Wilkes-Barre, Best Ijove, Forest Lore, Joy Smoke and Stage Coach among its prospective contenders a fast and hard-fought struggle is promised. The Kindergarten Stakes will bring to-I gether a fine band of two-year-olds and with Gymkhana, Clear View, Sure to Win, Barbara Frietchie, Moon Magic and Traymore among the eleven named to start, as good a juvenile contest as has been witnessed in Canada this year may result.
