CORAL REEF raced in nearest pursuit all the way and finished gamely, although tiring slightly. HEELTAPS lost much ground on the last turn, but was gaining slowly on the leaders at the end. PEPCTY, away slowly, was rushed up to a contending position when nearing the last turn, but came wide and tired in the final sixteenth.
