9 • TURF NEWS OF THE DAY FROM DORVAL PARK MONTREAL. Que.. June IS. F. J. Kearns will ship to Empire City Monday. W. Caywood and Joe Bauer will ship to Chicago at the end of the meeting here. T. J. Gorman and Stewart McClelleghan, representing the Connaught Park Jockey Club, are in Montreal to co-ordinate with officials of other tracks in the neighborhood upon plans for the fall meetings. J. P. Smith will ship to New York at the conclusion of the meeting. Smith has enjoyed conspicuous success on the circuit this year, winning nine races in four weeks, although he has only six horses in his string. Sweep By and Castleton, which have been turned out for a couple of years at the A. R. Lawson farm at La Graingville, N. Y., have been turned over to E. J. Salt. They will be ready to go to the post during the Fort Erie meeting. The R. T. Wilson and W. J. Salmon horses in charge of Jack Pryce will be sent to Belmont Park Monday. Pryce did well with this outfit on the eastern end of the Cana-, dian circuit and probably will return here with a stable in the fall.
