SPECIAL CABLEG / Jt PARIS, France, June 20. — Pierre Wer-theimers Epinard, four-year-old son of Badajose and P pine Blanche, will sail for New York on the Berengaria July 5, it was denitely announced today. There has been some doubt for a time, whether or not the colt would be shipped to the United States to fill his autumn engage- | ments there because of the defeats which I I he has met during his spring campaign in ■ France. This announcement definitely sets I all such rumors at rest. I According to present plans trainer Eugene J | Leigh and jockey Everett Haynes will ac- j company the colt. The horse will be ship- j | ped to Saratoga Springs on arrival at New j j York and will be prepared for his races at j j that course. Epinard is scheduled to meet the best | I American horses of mature age in a series of three races during September and October. The first of these events will be at three-quarters at Belmont Park.
