Widener scored a double victory at Le Tremblay yesterday when Meknes, ridden by Keogh, won the Prix Citronelle and his two-year-old Tournament, by Gay Crusader — Reine Des Peches, took the Prix Launay. I A. K. Macomber won the Prix Du Cedre at Longchamps with Fleet Cloud, ridden by i Esling. The Prix Citronelle is one of the richest fixtures decided at Le Tremblay. The race ! i yesterday was worth more than 70,000 francs. | j Meknes scored easily over J. Leonard Rep- j logics Optimist, with J. Sterns Katerfelto third. Ten horses started. Matt McGee rede | j Optimist and George Stern had the mount on I Katerfelto. The Prix Launay is a race for two-year- I | olds and it attracted fourteen starters. Tournament is a fine looking youngster and scored impressively.
