CAD set a fast pace from the start and made a game finish. CLAVICHORD lacked early speed moved up resclutcly on the outside in the stretch and tired badly near the end. CARARINIER was outrun for the first turn of the field, hut passed tired horses near the end. LAST MAN jumped well. BOSS JOHN tired badly in the final turn of the field. FANK LADY quit. KLF. away well, was saved for the first half, then raced into an easy lead in the stretch and Von easing up. NOAH showed the most early speed and was taken under restraint when passed by her stable companion, but was shaken up in the final yards when LAPLANDER challenged. The latter came ■with a rush through the stretch and would have been second in a few more strides. FINLAND raced .•well. REMINDER had no mishaps. SUNSARD set a fast early paee and tired badly. MAD HATTER was far back in the early racing, but gained steadily from the far turn and, coming with a great rusli after entering the stretch, challenged the leader and won in the final stride. 11 ALTO set an extremely fast early pace and, racing BRACADALE into defeat, finished gamely and only succumbed right at the end. DUNLIN moved up swiftly while rounding the last turn and got on even terms with RIALTO when a sixteenth out, but tired badly near the end. BRAINSTORM lost consid-erable ground on the stretch turn, but came again in the last eighth. BRACADALE tired after following RIALTO for seven eighths. IRINCE OF UMBRIA began slowly. OLD t WELBOl -RNE closed a gap in the fiual quarter aud outstayed BELPHRIZONIA at the end. BELPHRI-ZONIA set a good pace under restraint and raced NEGOCIATElR into defeat, but tired badly in the ■ final sixteenth. SIMOON saved ground on the turns. HIGH PRINCE ran poorly.
