Won easily; second and third driving. MISS MISCHIEF, away well, followed HUNTER closely until the latter dropped back, then took the lead and came away to win under a slight pull. LADY MARIAN, away poorly, closed a big gap and finished gamely. SHINING GOLD raced prominently all the way. STAR CUDGEL closed an immense gap. BAMRA suffered from interference. HUNTER set the early pace and was in the lead When he began bleeding and was eased up. Tue latter showed speed, but tired in the last few strides. JOHN HAGER was always outrun, but finished gamely. The latter was buffeted about in the early running and ridden wide on the stretch turn, but came with a rush in the last eighth. LEE O. COTNER ran a good race, but began tiring in the last eighth. FLYING EBONY raced forwardly for five-eighths and tired. STEP ALONG tired in the stretch. BETELGUESE was done after going a naif mile. GIBLON followed the winner clorcly and, finishing fastest, would have won in another Stride. BLACK GOLD seemed to sulk in the early running, but moved up steadily in the last quarter and wm racing gamely at the end. LORD MARTIN stayed well and enly tired in the last few strides.
