FORT ERIE TURF NOTES FORT ERIE, OnL, Aug. 13. -Hickory spread a hoof in his race Tuesday. E. W. Moore will campaign his horses at Windsor. J. L. Brannon will ship from here to Niagara Falls. J. Wallace cancelled his engagements because of illness. 10. .T. Morrow claimed Trevan from A. C. BosUvick for ,500. C. A. Cpcith, who is interested with L. P. Phelps in the horses which run in the name of t.e latter is an arrival from Louisville. Tommy Gorman, secretary of the Con-nautlit Park Jockey Club, will be here tomorrow to arrange for the special train that will taie horses from here to Ottawa at the end of the meeting. Tho following have arranged to ship to Ottava. from here on the T. J. Gorman special : .1. Iieamish, Joe Rowan, E. J. Morrow, Mrs. CI. IL Abbott, T. J. Donohue and J. IT. Smith. Chacolet arrived from Saratoga in charge of Tom.a5 Taylor to keep her engagement in the Dominion Handicap Thursday. Hopeless ant? Pyroot accompanied the II. P. Hcadley marc.
