HAWTHORNE News and Gossip of he Day at Chicagos Famous Track HAWTHORNE RACE TRACK, Aug. 13. J. M. Singleton will ship his stable to Omaha at the termination of the Hawthorne meeting. Jockey Anderson was suspended for five days by the stewards for rough riding in the fourth race. Jockey L. McDermott departed last night for Fort Erie where he will ride one of H. P. Headleys starters in the International Handicap next Saturday. J. H. Deavenport, who formerly trained the gcod sprinter Bunga Buck, was among Wednesdays visitors. Frederick Grabner, south side owner, and William Perkins left this morning for Saratoga to see if they could pick up a few bargains at the yearling sales. The stewards excused Margaret Ware from starting in the sixth race today when her trainer, F. Sharkey, stated she had bolted and run away two miles while being worked Wednesday morning.
