HAWTHORNE NOTES HAWTHORNE RACE TRACK, August 30. Willie Martin has been appointed patrol judge at the Aurora meeting. Mark Harned will leave for his home in Louisville, Ky., Sunday morning. Jockey W. Anderson will leave Monday for Belmont Park to ride for J. F. Richardson, his former employer. Chas. E. Ford, general manager of the Aurora meeting, announced that the work of converting the course into a mile track was completed Saturday. J. S. Middleton, trainer of G. C. Cudahys two-year-old Pacier, announced that the filly will be out of training for some time, due to her having been jumped upon in her raco Friday last Charles Levy, Chicago business man, in whose honor Mondays third race at Hawthorne has been named, will present a costly diamond and sapphire scarf pin to the jockey who wins the handicap.
