FOREST FLOWER began well and followed the early pacemaker under restraint, then passed her when called on and drew awav into a safe lead and was under stout restraint through the final sixteenth. PRINCE HAMLET steadily improved his position and finished gamely. POTENTILLA was outrun for the first half, but closed. a big gap and got up for third place in the final strides. VULCAIN QUEEN set the early pace and had no mishaps. PILGRIM raced in close quarters in the early running and finished resolutely. Scratched 79701 Mary Agnes, 90; 82169 Al Boyd, 109. DUNKS GREEN was saved under slight restraint for the first two turns-of the field, then moved up -steadily on the outside when coming to the final jump and passed. the leaders, but was hard ridden to the end. CARABINIER finished, with a rush and outstayed the tiring HOUDINI. HOUDINI jumped and raced well all the way, but crowded SANS PECHE at the last jump and tired at .the end. SANS-PEGHE jumped well and showed the most speed on the flat, but was crowded at the final jump, causing hfm to stumble. MINATA lost his rider at the third jump. Scratched S26085Bullseye, 148. MASTER CHARLIE began well, set a fast pace through the early running and raced SINGLE FOOT into defeat, then came Wide on the stretch turn, but held his lead resolutely to the end. PAS SEUL met with early interference, closing up resolutely when clear, saved ground on the stretch turn and finished fast. KENTUCKY CARDINAL raced prominently from the start, loomed up menacingly in the stretch drive, but tired finally. SINGLE FOOT showed a good order of speed, but tired badly. BLUE RIDGE closed a gap resolutely. SUNNY MAN began in a tangle and was running fast at the end. SWOPE finished gamely next to the inner rail. AMERICAN FLAG was shuffled back after the start. MUTT was kept closer up than usual and; forcing a fast pace for the going, came on the outside of MY PLAY on the stretch turn and wore him down in a hard drive, to win going away. MY PLAY set a fast pace under slight restraint and stood a long stretch drive, but tired in the final sixteenth. AGA KHAN was saved under restraint and allowed to drop too far back, but moved up with a rush on the last turn and closed a big gap. BIG BLAZE was hard -held for the first mile and closed some ground on tired horses. LITTLE CHIEF showed improvement and ran well to the last quarter. 69QQ FIFTH RACE 1 Mile.
