BOLIVAR BOND closed a gap qquickly and made a game finish. BELLE H. forced the pace neaily all the way, but tired in the final strides. BRUNETH ran poorly in the going. PIEDMONT ran a good race, but tired in the final drive. MISS MISCHIEF forced the pace to well into the stretch and took the lead, but tired in the final strides. COL. TAYLOR set the early pace, but quit after going five-eighths. ARROWHEAD closed a gap. JACK FROST set and forced the pace to the stretch turn where he took another brief lead, but tired in the stretch drive. PROCEEDS closed a big gap. BLACK GRACKLE ran poorly and quit in the stretch.
