BARNEY GOOGLE began well and followed the .early pacemaker closely to the last eighth, then took the lead and outgimed DICK WHITTINGTON in the final strides. The latter movd-up with .1 rush and took the lead seventy yards from the finish, but was tiring" in the final strides. MYRTLE BELLE showed high speed in fast paceraaking and saved ground on all the turns, but tired. ORPIIELIN ran a good race all the way. GEOHGE DE MAR ran well. SOMBRE showed early speed, but quit. Won easily; second and third driving. MELRA jumped well and, showing the most speed on the. flat, took the lead at the tenth jump and won in a canter. WOODLEY II. was outrun for the first mile and a half, but gamely outstayed TOP NOTCH at the end. The latter was rushed into a long lead in the first turn of the field and tired badly. FLUVANNA raced on the outside for the first half and came wide when entering the stretch, but was taken to the inside of the leaders at the eighth post and, finishing fast, outstayed ANNA MARRONE Hi in the final strides. The latter showed the most speed from the start, but made a wide turn when entering the stretch and finished very wide. LEOPARDESS moved up resolutely in the stretch and finished fast, but appeared to tire in the final strides. OFF COLOR finished resolutely next to the inner rail. Start poor and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. BREAKFAST BELL, a forward contender from the start, saved ground on all the turns and, coming fast through the final sixteenth, outstayed KING ALBERT in the final strides. The latter moved up resolutely after rounding the stretch turn, but was forced wide, then finished fastest of all. RIGEL ran a good race from the start, but met with interference on the far turn and was forced to be taken up and tired in the final sixteenth. WAMPEE finished fast from a slow beginning. Won easily; second and third driving. MARY AGNES set a gocd pace from the start under light restraint and easily held the race safe to the end. SLEDGE began slowly, but worked his way up on the inside and. finishing fast, outstayed POOR SPORT at the end. POOR SPORT followed the winner closely nearly all the way and finished gamely.
