CLEVELAND TURF NOTES CLEVELAND, Ohio, Sept 25. Stuart Polk is confined to his hotel suffering from a cold. In his absence his horses are being saddled by W. Roberts. A carload of horses arrived from Omaha 1 this morning, including those of J. V. Pons, G. W. Johnson, J. Palmer and G. F. Hum. 1 Jockey P. Hum accompanied the latter stable. Jockey S. Banks was an arrival from Aurora and will fide free lance at this meet-ingt S. N. Holman wired that he is shipping five head from Latonia. They are expected to arrive this evening. Milton Smith got in from Latonia this s morning with his string. Jockey O. Pernia suffered a bruised foot t when Cottager fell with him in the opening ; dash and was forced" to cancel his riding engagements - for the day.
