Won driving; second and third the same. WESTOAER began fiom the extreme outside and was forced to work her way up on the outside of the leader. She wore down SUN HOPE in the stretch, and .outgamed the latter in the final drive. SUN HOPE was away fastest of all and drew away in the early stages. She raced straight the entire way, but tired after saving ground when entering the homestretch. HARLAN was a forward contender all the way. BETTY MALONEY began slowly and raced impressively. Won easily; second and third driving. BYXG was saved from the early pace until the last quarter and responded with a rush when called on. He shook off VICAIIIE to the last jump and was going away at the end. VICAIUE made a bad landing at a couple of the jumps and went to h:s knees at the twelfth jump. CnUCKLE wore down the tiring JIM COFFROTH in the last quarter. The rider on latter lost his stirrups going to the twelfth jump and had to pull up. Wallace worked his way up on the inside with SUN LADY, which shook off her opponents rounding the far turn, and drew away into a long lead, winning well under restraint. BEAU NASn wore down the tiring MUSKALLONGE when straightened out in the stretch and easily passed the latter in the last eighth. MUSKALLONGE was used up following the winner. AAon driving; second and third the same. BELLE AVOOD began well and forced the pace to the stretch turn, where she shook off OUT OF SIGHT, but was tiring at the end and just lasted long enough. OLD BROADWAY, in a jam and shuffled back soon after the start and carried wide entering the stretch, closed with a great burst of speed on the outsde and would have won in another stride. The latter was in a jam going to the first turn, and was crowded back, but closed a good gap after, recovering. HUMBOLDT was shuffled back in the early stages. VICE-CHAIRMAN was bumped by RACKET when the start came and had a lot of trouble.
