OWNER B. HARDING CLEARED LAUREL, Md., Oct 10. B. Harding appeared before the stewards today to protest against the insinuation that he was involved in a friendly claim of Floating On. The horse was claimed from Mr. Harding by S. Stajer at Havre de Grace and the stewards here yesterday refused the entry of the horse, saying that they had reason to suspect that the claim was friendly. Mi-. Harding made affidavit that the claim was not friendly in so far as he knows and was cleared of complicity by the stewards He said he never saw Mr. Stajer until they met before the stewards today. Meanwhile, the horse is barred from starting here and had been bought from Stajer by S. W. Richards, who will ship the animal to Tijuana.
