Kent were returned victors today in the main and secondary attractions respectively. Brian Kent scored Tiandily from a fair band with Sister Sue finishing second and Knot Grass third. Paden had the mount on both winners. The closest finish of "the day and one of the closest of the meeting came with the running of the sixth race when Ailsie Vernor. which had taken the lead midway of the stretch, just lasted long enough to stall off the fast closing True American with Miss Margaret just getting up to nose out Lafe M., the early pacemaker, for the third portion of the purse. Jockey B. Tiner continued his good riding and was victorious with three of his mounts, Rubien, Ailsie Vernor and The Chamberlain. The latter won the closing race with ease from Frank Erb, with Bill Head, the favorite third. E. Lutz left last night to attend the Milam sale at Latonia. Marshall Cassidy leaves tonight for Toronto, Canada, where he will do the starting at the Long Branch meeting, which opens tomorrow. Basil Smith and Bryan Steel will go along to assist him.
