CLOUDLAND STAR OF SALE Brings 8,000 at Auction Held at Pimlico Thursday Good Prices for Others. BALTIMORE, Md., Nov. 13. As expected, Cloudland was the star in the sale of horses in training conducted this morning in the center field of the Pimlico track by Charles F. Hill. The two-year-old son of Wrack Fairy Ray went to the Brookmede Stable on a bid of 8,000. Woods Garth trains the horses of the Brookmede Stable, which owns Sky Scraper II., winner of the 1924 renewal of the Manly Memorial. His father, William Garth, developed Cloudland for J. S. Cbsden. Dimmesdale was much in demand. The six-year-old Flambala stallion although auc: tioned at Saratoga in August for 00, brought ,700 today because of his three recent victories. W. Irvine bought Dimmesdale. He was offered by C. J. Fitzgerald. Irvine also bought Retire from Woods Garth for ,000. In both instances he was a claim for E. F. Whitney. D. T. Leonard bought Dusk from A. C. Bostwick for . O. E. Roberts paid 75 for H. S. Bowns San Dimas and 00 for J. E. Wideners Sea Skipper. Mr. Widener also sold Grenadier. Matt Smart bought the Fair Play gelding for ,100. W. R, Midgleys Digest went to G. W. Tosmar for 00. N. L. Byer paid 00 for E. W. Prices Peccant. R. J. Colt, one of the owners of the Triangle Stable, bought Le Gaulois for 00 when he was offered for the purpose of dispersing the stable. W. G. Campbell offered Good Times. He went to J. Bernard on. a bid of ,C50. J. L. Farrell bought O. J. Graus Roanoke for 50. Magical and Premature, two mares offered by R. J. Walden, were bought by I. Isman for 25 and 00, respectively. Both are in foal to Rire aux Larmes. Mr. Isman is a department store owner of Harrisburg, Va., and will ship the mares to his Kattys Manor, which is in the Shenandoah Valley, not far from the Audley Farm of Montfort and B. B. Jones and Sun Briar Manor of the" Virginia establishments of W. S. Kilmer.
