GRAND PRIX RUN JUNE 28 Value of This Years Most Valuable Race May Be Worth More Than 0,000. The Grand Prix de Paris, richest racing stake in the world, will be run this year at the Longchamps course in Paris on June 28. While there is yet no official statement relative to the value of the stake this year, experts are convinced that it will be worth more than the 0,000 of last year, although -here is very small likelihood of its reaching within the next few years its 1923 value of 06,000. This classic is one of the greatest in all Europe and, while it is far from being the oldest stake in the world, having been inaugurated in 1863, it is one of the most popular and interesting. Its popularity is attested by the large crowd which turned out to see the race last year, when Transvaal won at 120 to 1. The crowd of 150,000 was the largest ever to see the race and the odds were the longest ever paid on a winner of this blue riband event of the French turf. While this years event may not result in an upset, there always is much romance woven around the Grand Prix de Paris, and it is certain that another large crowd will line the fences and fill the stands at the famous Longchamps course. The race this year will be held on a Wednesday, the one last year having fallen on a Sunday. A
