-6 TRIAL RACE FOR DIXIE HAVRE DE GRACE, Md.f April 21 — Joseph McLennan has put on a mile and an eighth handicap to be decided here next Tuesday that will be an excellent trial for the Dixie Handicap to be decided at Pimlico May 1. This race will be known as the Preliminary Handicap and it has a value of ,500, which insures that the winner will not pick up a penalty in the Dixie. The fear of a penalty has prevented several of the trainers of potential candidates for the big Maryland Jockey Club prize, from starting their candidates and this handicap was framed to give them a racing opportunity.
