j I I | ■ ■ w JAMAICA TURF NOTES NEW YORK, N. Y., April 30. The following claims were filed in the secretarys office yesterday : G. W. Coburn took Eucarra from William Daniel for ,500 ; F. M. Kelly claimed Sleepy Head from James Butler for ,000 ; S. M. Friedel took Intrepid from J. S. Schuerer for ,000, and G. C. Winfrey took Athelstan from E. F. Cooney for a like amount. Jockey H. Howard arrived from Havre de Grace and reported to trainer D. A. Kearney, who has a division of the P. F. Joyce stable at Aqueduct. R. L. Gerrys Voltaire, a candidate for the big three-year-old features, was worked before the running of the first race by trainer Odom. The colt was sent seven-eighths in 1 :27. At all stages of the trial he was under hard restraint and was never hard urged.
